Don't you love it when you get home from vacation and there's nothing to eat?

That was us yesterday...

We just got back from the lake and I didn't know what to make for supper.

The fridge was empty and all the meat was frozen.

And of course everyone was "starving".

I went to the garden to see if there was anything to eat and found some cabbage!

So I grabbed one and started looking for recipes to make.

Tom found a very simple recipe using ground beef, cabbage, and spices.

I was skeptical because it seemed way too easy....

Turns out I was wrong!

It was so good the kids even had seconds.

I'm definitely adding this to the list for quick, weeknight meals.

If you're in a pinch after getting home from vacation and have nothing to eat, definitely give this recipe a try!

Where to Begin: A Real-Food Reset for Busy Families

As we step into a new year, it’s impossible to ignore what’s happening around us. Kids are getting sick more often. Chronic illness is becoming normal. Cancer, autoimmune disease, digestive issues, anxiety, ADHD — it feels like nearly every family is dealing with something. For many parents, that realization is unsettling. And it leads to a hard but important question: Is the way we’re eating part of the problem?

Homemade Raw Milk Ice Cream (No Cooking, No Junk -- Just Real Food)

This time of year, the cream is thick and golden, and the milk is full of nutrients thanks to the lush summer pasture our cows are grazing. And with a little extra milk on hand, it felt like the perfect time to share one of our favorite treats: Homemade raw milk ice cream.
